Mr. Invisible

Second post for today, but Seth and I have been checking up on some computer generated music lately, and through looking at the Maschine, we found Mr. Invisible. This group is insane. An absolutely sick DJ accompanied by mad skill with the Maschine and dope rhymes, I find them to be one of my favorites.

Click here for a live performance of theirs.

Huey Mack

Can't believe I forgot about this kid. But Huey Mack is a college kid from West Virginia with the nastiest flow I've ever seen on anyone his age, and he's gotta be top 10 flow wise. With Big Jerm producing, it's only a matter of time. This kid really needs some attention, so check him out.

(I take all credit for finding Huey hahaha Seth <3)

Matt Easton

As Matt says, this song is for Chillin.
I'll also throw in some other songs by him that ive been listening too recently.

Chillin - Matt Easton

Life Life - Matt Easton

Dont Know Why - Matt Easton

The Cave Boys

These college kids, just like Mac Miller and Webby, are nice as hell. College kids are changing the rap game and creating some of the best music out there. Honestly these guys remind me of Cosden and I, "Never had a gun, never been arrested, always been myself, and never been neglected." There song, "Nobody thinks I can do it" almost inspires me too pursue the music industry, you down Digi?

The Cave Boys - Tous Capitan - Now Boarding

Nobody Thinks We Can Do It - The Cave Boys

Julias The Myth

Julias is nice!
The man reps the 914 and his beats are all really well produced.
Lyrics are catchy and Julias is going to blow up this year, watch out.
Check out these songs by him.

Love Song - Julias Myth

Dear Winter - Julias Myth

Devil in some New Kicks - Julias Myth

Peep my Outfit - Julias Myth

Lazy Sunday Dubstep

I've got a few dubstep tracks/artists for today. One being one of my favorites, 80kidz. I don't know much about them, besides the fact that they are a Japenese dubstep group that first caught my eye with their song, Disdrive.

Click here for a link to Disdrive.

Next up is a not so "underground" (or at least as mainstream as dubstep gets) group that most of you should know about, Flux Pavilion. Flux Pavilion was the first group that got me into dubstep in late 2009, right after Joshua Steele (aka Flux Pavilion) released his first album. I highly suggest you guys download Flux's Lines in Wax EP, which probably features they're best and most popular/catchy four songs.

Atmosphere

Whats good everybody.
Not sure how many people know Atmosphere, but I've been listening to him since God loves Ugly and he has to be in my top ten Mc's. His recent album, Too All my Friends, was the first time in a few months, I have really had to think about the music. Brings you back to the 90's.

2 Songs/Artists Today

I've got 2 dope artists for you guys on this Saturday afternoon. The first, being Soul Position. This duo consists of the legendary RJD2 and the MC Blueprint. Originating in Ohio the team has released 3 albums, a few singles and a mixtape. RJD2 has obviously gone solo since 2006, but new music is never our of the picture. Their song Hand Me Downs has been addicting lately.

The second artist for today is AZ. AZ got his start in Nas' album Illmatic, and since then is referred to as one of "The Top 10 Most Under-appreciated Rappers". His song The Format is one of my favorites, and was produced by hip hop legend DJ Premier, better known as the late and great Guru's partner from Gang Starr.

The Neeks

Party.edu by The Neeks is a great party song, as well as a song you can chill to.

Really dope give it a listen.

Party.edu - The Neeks

Starfucker

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm addicted to good music, regardless of genre. Even though I almost exclusively listen to Hip-Hop/Rap, Starfucker has really caught my eye. Despite the bold name, this group is probably best indie-electric band in the world. Their music is original and creates the type of beautiful songs I thought only existed in fantasy. If you don't enjoy their music, you are a horribly confused individual.

German Love- Starfucker

Isabella of Castile - Starfucker

Seattle Undergroup Hip-Hop Scene

Right now, the Pacific Northwest is thriving in the reincarnation of Hip Hop. Artists like Dyme Def, Common Market, Blue Scholars, the Unknown Prophets, and the Sound Providers are going hard. Here are some links of what I'm talking about.

Dyme Def

Common Market

Snow Day Dubstep

Today I'm bringing you guys two different artists I'd like to highlight on this lovely day off from school.
A new addition to the blog is a dubstep artist! The group is called Modestep. They have been producing some sweet music lately especially their hit in Europe, Sunlight.

Throwback Thursdays

What's up, we are starting a weekly post called Throwback Thursdays where we will fill you guys in on some throwback songs of the 80's and 90's for enjoyment and some nostalgia. This week, I have some Artifacts. The duo from Jersey released their first single in 1994, "Wrong Side of Da' Tracks". Unfortunately they split 3 years later, but this track is noted as an underground classic.

Welcome to Our Blog!

What's up guys, Cosden here from Life and Rhymes.
Seth and I will periodically be posting on this blog to introduce the internet to the best rhymes and beats that haven't received much exposure.
Be sure to keep checking the blog and always gaining knowledge of the hip-hop and dub-step scene.
Peace out and until next time.
